The second round is complete in the Championship Stage of the Libyan Premier League and Friday featured lopsided victories in all three matches from the group that is based in Tripoli.

After leading Al Ahli Tripoli to qualification for the second phase with games to spare, Angolan superstar Mabululu returned to scoring ways in a 3-1 victory for Ahli over Al Ittihad Misurata. The former Al Ittihad Alexandria striker scored twice while Libya national team winger Muaid Ellafi added a goal and an assist.

In the opening match of the day, Olympic Azzaweya bounced back from a defeat in their first match to thrash Al Madina 5-0. Isaka Abudu Diarra and Zakaria Al Harash each scored twice for Azzaweya as Madina dropped to last place with one point from their two games.

The group leaders after two matches are Swehly Sports Club, who marched to a dominant 4-1 victory over an Al-Ittihad Tripoli team that features several big money signings. Former Wydad AC star Aymane El Hassouni opened the scoring and Fily Traoré added a brace.

With a strong Libyan contingent well complemented by foreign stars like Traoré and skilled Tunisian midfielder Ayoub Ayed, Swehly are a team to watch in the group.

The league will take a three-day break before the third round commences on Monday with the Benghazi-based group taking center stage before the Tripoli group resumes on Tuesday.
