Libyan Premier League: Mukwala scores again as Al Nasr ease past Al Andalus

Ugandan international Steven Mukwala continued his bright start to life in Libya, scoring in a second consecutive game as Al Nasr Benghazi secured a comfortable 2–0 victory over Al Andalus in the Libyan Premier League on Friday night.

Mukwala found the back of the net to help the Benghazi giants collect maximum points, marking his second goal for the club in as many matches since opening his account last weekend.

The Ugandan striker had broken his scoring duck for Al Nasr in a 1–1 draw against Al Tahaddi, and he followed it up with another decisive contribution as the Libyan champions returned to winning ways.

Mukwala’s latest strike further underlines his quick adaptation since completing his move in January from Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC.

The forward has wasted little time making an impression, already combining goals with the assist he registered on his debut in the Libyan Cup.

His growing influence is providing a timely boost for Al Nasr as they continue their push in the league campaign, with the Ugandan attacker increasingly becoming a key figure in the team’s attacking setup.

Having now scored in back-to-back matches, Mukwala will be hoping to maintain the momentum and continue delivering goals as Al Nasr aim to strengthen their position in the title race.
