Ligi Kuu Bara: Pamba Jiji FC, home of Kenyan striker Tegisi, involved in accident

Tanzania's Pamba Jiji FC, home to Kenyan striker Mathew Tegisi team bus was involved in a road accident on Sunday while en-route to Kagera for their CRDB Federation Cup game against lower division side Kiluvya United.


According to the team's public statement obtained by Pan-Africa Football, they were travelling to Morogoro for preparations for their match against Kiluvya when the accident occurred. The accident happened in Bahi area, Dodoma, where their bus was hit by another vehicle.


The statement from the Mainland Premier League club confirmed: “Earlier today (Sunday), at around 5:00 AM, Pamba Jiji team which was traveling from Bukoba in Kagera Region to Morogoro for their CRDB Federation Cup match against Kiluvya United on March 11, 2025, was involved in an accident in Bahi District, Dodoma Region.


“The accident was caused by a collision with a semi-truck from Mwanza Huduma Company, resulting in injuries to some of the players. Quick recovery to the injured players.”


Tegisi moved to Pamba Jiji after leaving Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League outfit Shabana.
