Singida Black Stars have announced that they received with shock and sadness the news of their coach Miloud Hamdi being announced as the new head coach of Young Africans (Yanga SC) without due process being followed.

On Wednesday, the Mainland Premier League champions confirmed they had hired the services of the Algerian coach, who was attached with Singida Black Stars, following their decision to part ways with Sead Ramovic.

In a statement, Yanga confirmed the exit of Ramovic and the arrival of Hamdi by saying: “The management of Yanga have reached an agreement with both sides to end the contract of coach Sead Ramovic and his assistant Mustafa Kodro.

“In another news, the club has announced the new coach, Miloud Hamdi, who is of Algerian descent. Hamdi, who has the experience of coaching, having handled teams in Europe, Asia and Africa, takes over the role immediately.”

This statement has angered Singida, who have requested their fans to be patient as they follow up the matter. “We have received with shock and sadness the news that Yanga have named our coach Hamdi as their new head coach without following the right procedure,” read a statement from the Singida-based club.

“The management of the club is following up on the matter, we urge our fans to be patient as the management follows up on the matters with urgency.”

Yanga’s new coach Hamdi won the Premier League title in Algeria with USM Alger during the 2015-16 season. Until his appointment, Hamdi was the head coach of Singida Black Stars, whom he leaves sitting fourth on the league table with 33 points from 16 matches.
