Former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou has indicated that Sevilla’s Loic Bade, will be a good addition to the club’s defensive set up.
Kalou, who won the Champions League with the Blues in 2012, believes the French-Ivorian centre-back has the qualities needed to succeed in the Premier League.
Speaking to Africafoot, Kalou praised Bade’s defensive attributes, highlighting his intelligence, speed, and physicality. Bade is a powerful, fast and very intelligent defender in his positioning. “He has proven in La Liga that he can compete with the best attackers.
“Chelsea needs a player like him to stabilize their defense and bring solidity in the long term,” Kalou said. “He has already played at a high level in the European Cup and against the best teams in Spain.
“With good coaching, he can become a key element for Chelsea,” he added.
Bade joined Sevilla on a permanent deal last summer following a successful loan spell and remains under contract until June 2029.
