Atalanta assured themselves of a top three position in the Serie A on Monday as Ademola Lookman and Ibrahim Sulemana scored in a 2-1 home victory over AS Roma.
Lookman's hard work set up Ghanaian midfielder Sulemana for a stunning low strike in the 76th minute, his first goal for Atalanta since joining from Cagliari ahead of the current season. It was only the 21-year-old's eighth appearance this season after hardly playing more than a minute in the last three months.
But reigning CAF Men's Player of the Year Lookman continued his improving form, marking his second consecutive match with a nifty strike in the 9th minute.
The Nigeria national team forward now has a career-high fifteen league goals this season and twenty in all competitions. Atalanta are safely beyond fourth place Juventus but have no chance of catching second place Inter Milan. They next travel to Genoa on Sunday, May 18.
