Lucas Ribeiro Costa, the standout star from Mamelodi Sundowns, was the biggest winner at the 2024-25 PSL Awards held on Tuesday evening, taking home an impressive four accolades.

Ribeiro Costa was crowned PSL Footballer of the Season and also secured the Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season, Betway Premiership Goal of the Season, and Betway Premiership Top Goal Scorer awards.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates young sensation Relebohile Mofokeng also had a memorable night, scooping both the Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season and the MTN8 Last Man Standing awards.

Sundowns’ mentor Miguel Cardoso was named Betway Premiership Coach of the Season. The Orlando Pirates trio of Sipho Chaine, Nkosinathi Sibisi, and Makhehleni Makhaula were recognised as the Betway Premiership Goalkeeper, Defender, and Midfielder of the Season, respectively.
In the Motsepe Foundation Championship, Muzomuhle Khanyi of Hungry Lions was rewarded for his outstanding season, winning both the Players’ Player of the Season and the Top Goal Scorer awards. Teboho Lekhatla of Casric Stars was named the Young Player of the Season, while Dumsani Msibi of Durban City received the Goalkeeper of the Season award for the division.
Kaizer Chiefs winger Pule Mmodi earned top honours in the Nedbank Cup, walking away with the Player of the Tournament award. Orlando Pirates’ Mbekezeli Mbokazi was recognised as the Most Promising Player of the Tournament, and Magesi FC’s Elvis Chipezeze received the Carling Knockout Player of the Tournament accolade.
In the DStv Diski Challenge categories, Tylon Smith of Stellenbosch FC was named Player of the Season, while Orlando Pirates striker Siphamandla Msezane claimed the Top Goal Scorer award.
Match officials were also acknowledged, with Kgara Mokoena and Masixole Bambiso receiving the Assistant Referee and Referee of the Season awards, respectively.
