Lugazi FC have moved early in the mid-season transfer window by securing the services of midfielder Hamza Mulambuzi from Mbarara City on a two-year deal.
The lanky enforcer arrives after spending a season and a half with Mbarara City, where he made 14 Uganda Premier League appearances and gained valuable top-flight experience.
His arrival signals Lugazi’s intent to strengthen key areas as the second half of the campaign approaches.

Mulambuzi becomes Lugazi’s first signing of the window and is expected to slot straight into the squad, with a potential debut lined up this afternoon when Lugazi face Kampala Regional League side Kisugu FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Known for his physical presence and work rate, the midfielder is tipped to add much-needed steel and balance to Lugazi’s central midfield as the team pushes for a stronger second round.
Before his stint at Mbarara City in the 2024-25 season, Mulambuzi featured for SC Villa and Proline FC, while also developing his game at Buddo Secondary School.
Coached by Simon Peter Mugerwa, Lugazi FC currently sit 11th on the Uganda Premier League table with 15 points from 15 matches, and will hope Mulambuzi’s arrival provides the spark needed to climb further up the standings.
