Guinea-Bissau national team head coach Luís Boa Morte could leave his role after the June round of friendly games. Os Djurtus will face Burundi and Gabon in June international friendlies.

The Portuguese coach left Fulham in 2024 to become the head coach of Guinea-Bissau. His tenure with the West African nation included a failed 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign, while the team currently sits fifth with six points in their 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifying group.

According to Fut 245, Boa Morte will terminate his contract with the national team following their friendly match against Gabon in Morocco. He is expected to take on the role of Sporting Director at Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia.

Boa Morte won only once during his time as coach of the Djurtus. His sole victory came against Eswatini in an AFCON qualifier. Nevertheless, he is credited with a memorable 1–1 draw against a star-studded Egyptian side in a World Cup qualifier.
