Egyptian club Al Ittihad Alexandria have officially announced the return of former top scorer Agostinho Mabululu, as the club continues its efforts to strengthen the squad during the winter transfer window.
Al Ittihad confirmed that Mabululu has signed a deal until the end of the current season, with an option to extend the contract for an additional season.
The Angolan striker previously had an outstanding spell with Al Ittihad Alexandria, where he was crowned top scorer of the Nile Egyptian League during the 2022–2023 season, scoring 16 goals.
Mabululu initially joined Al Ittihad in the summer of 2022 and went on to score 41 goals in 83 appearances in all competitions.
After his impressive performances in Egypt, Mabululu moved to Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya in the summer of 2024. During his time with the Libyan side, he made 28 appearances, scoring 20 goals and providing one assist, while also helping the club win the domestic treble — the Libyan League, Libyan Cup, and Libyan Super Cup.
Al Ittihad Alexandria currently sit in 17th place in the Nile Egyptian League table with 14 points after 16 matches.
The club has been active in the winter transfer window, also signing former Al Ahly star Mohamed Magdy Afsha, along with several other reinforcements.
