Ivorian international Jeremie Boga netted the winning goal for the visitors in the 38th minute. Despite the loss, Okoye delivered an impressive performance in the tightly contested match, making a number of crucial saves.
The Nigerian international produced several key stops to deny Boga on two separate occasions, as well as thwarting efforts from Manuel Locatelli, Kenan Yildiz, and Fabio Miretti.
Speaking via the club’s website, the 25-year-old expressed his disappointment that Le Zebrette failed to salvage at least one point from the game.
“Today we had the opportunity to get at least a point, but Juventus is a very strong team. Now we have to focus on the next match.
I’m happy with my performance, but in the end, what matters is that the team gets points.”
Despite the defeat, they remain in 11th place on the Serie A table with 36 points.
