KCCA FC interim head coach Jackson Magera has cautioned his players against underestimating FUFA Big League outfit Kataka FC ahead of their Uganda Cup semi-final showdown.
Speaking after the semi-final draw, Magera emphasized the need for total focus and determination, warning that Kataka are no pushovers and have already stunned several Uganda Premier League sides on their route to the last four.
“Our chances against Kataka will depend on how well we prepare because they have embarrassed a number of Premier League teams,” Magera said. “We must work even harder if we are to reach the finals.”
With the Uganda Cup representing KCCA FC’s most realistic chance of lifting silverware this season, Magera urged his players to treat the tie with utmost seriousness and avoid any complacency. “To the players, I ask them to work even harder because this is the only chance for us to claim silverware,” he stated.
Magera also reserved praise for the club’s fans, calling on them to rally behind the team in large numbers for the crucial fixture. “I want to thank the fans for always being behind us and encourage them to be our 12th player against Kataka.”
As KCCA FC sets its sights on Uganda Cup glory, the club knows that any slip-up against a hungry and determined Kataka side could be costly.
