The results are not quite going Atlanta United's way in Major League Soccer but Emmanuel Latte Lath continues to live up to his high price tag. The Ivorian scored again on Saturday in MLS' early matches while Ghana-eligible forward Kelvin Yeboah struck again for Minnesota United.

Latte Lath, the Ivorian striker signed for a MLS record fee totaling over €20 million, scored his fourth goal in five league matches on Saturday as Atlanta played hosts FC Cincinnati to a 2-2 draw. After a dominant but scoreless first half, visitors Atlanta took the lead early in the second half through Latte Lath after quick thinking on a throw-in.

Cincinnati, who did not have Togolese forward Kévin Denkey available, turned the match around with two goals in five minutes from Brazilian playmaker Evander. Atlanta managed to salvage a point late on when Saba Lobjanidze looked to find Latte Lath with a cross but Cincinnati defender Alvas Powell redirected the ball into his own net. The 26-year-old signing from Middlesbrough played two matches for Ivory Coast last June in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying.

Over in Saint Paul, Minnesosta, Ghana-born striker Kelvin Yeboah found the net to make it three goals in his last four matches during Minnesota United's clash with defending MLS champions Los Angeles Galaxy.

The 24-year-old was in the right position to finish from close range, putting hosts Minnesota ahead in the 19th minute after Galaxy goalkeeper John McCarthy spilled Anthony Markanich's hopeful effort on goal.

Late on, a penalty kick was awarded and their star striker stepped up for the big moment to deliver a calm penalty pick past McCarthy. However, the Galaxy struck in the 90th minute for the teams to share the spoils. Yeboah, the nephew of Ghana national team legend Tony Yeboah, continues to be a major success story since joining Minnesota from Italian club Genoa last year.

The 24-year-old has 12 goals in 17 matches and is one of the most in form strikers in the league. He previously played his club football in the semi-professional levels of English football, the Austrian Bundesliga and in the top tiers of Germany, France and Belgium after spending time at the academy of West Ham United.

Kelvin, who grew up in Italy and previously snubbed a Ghana youth national team call to play for Italy's under-21 national team, played four matches along the likes of Tottenham Hotspurs full back Destiny Udogie and Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto to help Italy qualify for the 2023 European U-21 Championship. However, the Accra-born forward did not make Italy's squad for the U-21 finals and remains eligible to play for Ghana.
