Malawi: Leaders Big Bullets go three clear

Malawi record champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets overcame Karonga United 2-0 on Saturday to go three points clear at the TNM Super League summit.

The 17-time champions had endured a frustrating week after losing 2-0 to Creck Sporting Club last weekend.

However, a goalless draw against Chitipa United and a 2-1 loss for their second-placed rivals Might Wanderers granted Bullets reprieve to still cling to top of the 16-member log table.

Wanderers can join the current leaders on 59 points if they beat rookies Ekhaya FC at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Sunday.

However, it is never easy facing the rookies who are on a four-game unbeaten stretch.

In contrast, the Nomads are winless in two straight league matches, their previous 24-match unbeaten league run a distant insignificant fading memory.
