The TNM Super League action resumed in Malawi on Wednesday after a two-week break, with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets maintaining their flawless start to the season.

Striker Chikumbutso Salima’s 89th-minute goal handed Bullets a 1-0 win over Dedza Dynamos FC in a TNM Super League match.

It was Bullets’ first win at Dedza Stadium, 40 kilometres from the capital city, Lilongwe, where the hosts have always proved a hard nut to crack for Peter Mponda’s side.

Mponda made tactical changes to his starting XI line-up, handing captain Cylde Senanji his first start this season in defence alongside Andrew Jovinala. The duo, relegated to the bench striker Babatunde Adepoju and Blessings Joseph.

In Adepoju’s absence, Maxwell Gasten led the frontline but hardly impacted the game, forcing Mponda to recall the Nigerian.

Such a change paid dividends as Adepoju laid the ball invitingly for Salima to deliver the goods with a perfect finish a minute before full-time.

That goal made it four consecutive wins for the 16-time Super League champions, who lead the 16-member table, scoring 13 goals and conceding just once.

The season in Malawi started last month and will conclude in December. Silver Strikers are the defending champions of the league, which mobile network service providers, TNM, sponsor.
