Blue Eagles FC's coach Elia Kananji has resigned amid links with fellow TNM Super League side, Creck Sporting Club.
The Malawi Police Service-owned team confirmed the resignation of Kananji. He led the team back to the Super League last season after being relegated in 2023.

Msakakuona was serving as team's technical director and has no2 filled the void created by the exit of Kananji.
Eagles, the 2024 FDH Cup champions, have since hailed Msakakuona as an experienced mentor . He previously served as the cops' coach for a decade.
"A seasoned football professional, Mr. Msakakuona brings a wealth of experience and deep understanding of the team’s dynamics, making him well-suited to lead the squad during this transitional period," the statement adds.
Eagles have made a promising start to the season and lie in fourth place, seven points behind leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
Meanwhile, reports suggest Kananji is on his way to Creck Sporting Club which parted ways with former Orlando Pirates star Joseph Kamwendo following a slow start to the season.
