FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach Peter Mponda has identified what impressed him the most in his team's 4-0 TNM Super League mauling of Kamuzu Barracks on Saturday afternoon in Blantyre.

First-half goals from fit-again midfielder Mike Mkwate, Chikumbutso Salima, Wongani Lungu, and Sean MacBrams' late strike sealed Bullets' sixth consecutive win. They lead the table with a flawless record.

Having said he was unimpressed with the team's performance in the previous weekend's 3-0 win over Chitipa United, Mponda was now happy with the result and the displays on the artificial turf.

He was particularly impressed that his players fulfilled their roles in a fluid 4-3-3 formation that overwhelmed the visitors, who have since dropped to sixth place.

"There wasn't a special tactical blueprint today. My priority was simply to select the right eleven following the rules. Whether they operated as midfielders, defenders, or forwards didn't concern me--the important thing was that each player fulfilled their roles on the pitch. I am extremely proud of their efforts," Mponda said.

The 17-time Malawi league champions will now turn their attention to a Blantyre derby against Mighty Wanderers next Saturday at the same Blantyre arena.

In other games played on Saturday, Blue Eagles cruised to a 6-1 victory over Mzuzu City Hammers in Lilongwe.

A double each from Ganizani James, Levison Mnyenyembe, and a goal from Moses Gwayi and Laurent Banda completed the cops' biggest league win of the season to remain in fourth place on the log table, seven points behind leaders Bullets.

Elsewhere, Mafco FC lost 1-0 to fellow soldiers Moyale Barracks FC.
