Malawian international Aaron signs for Qatari outfit Muaither
Malawi’s FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ captain Llyod Aaron has sealed a dream move to Qatar second tier league outfit Muaither SC.
The TNM Super League giants confirmed that the 23-year-old played his last game for them on Sunday when they won the Airtel Top 8 trophy after beating Silver Strikers 4-3 on post-match penalties.
“The club would like to express our gratitude to Aaron for his professionalism, dedication and contribution during his time at FCB Nyasa Big Bullets,” the club’s statement reads.
However, Bullets did not disclose the duration of Aaron’s contract with Muathier let alone the transfer fee involved. The Flames star has moved from the Super League record winners after spending a season and half at Bullets.
The dreadlocked midfielder made 54 appearances across all competitions for Bullets, scoring one goal and providing six assists.
The Qatari team has been busy in the transfer market having hired Serbian coach Aleksandr Viselinovic recently by signing players such as Algerian Ahmed Ayat Abdel-Salam and Spaniard Alberto Ramis Logi. Muathier have started pre-season training ahead of the new season next month.
