Highly-rated Malawian international Yankho Singo is reportedly on the verge of signing for Betway Premiership side, Lamontville Golden Arrows FC, sources have confirmed.

Malawi's Zodiak Broadcasting Corporation and Wa Mpira websites report that the defensive midfielder has left Blantyre for Durban for a medical with the PSL side.

The websites add that the towering player has been offered a two-year contract following his stellar displays for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and the senior national football team.

Singo has featured in over 60 games for Bullets and helped them win the Airtel Top 8 Cup last season. He has built on that impressive form of the last campaign this season that sees Peter Mponda's side topping the TNM Super League log table.

The 25-year-old has made six appearances for the senior national football team, establishing himself as a regular; a deep lying midfielder good at winning the ball and shielding the defence.

Bullets extended the midfielder's contract by three years earlier this year and are likely to cash in on the transfer to Manqoba Mngqhithi's side.
