Malawian winger Francisco Madinga has signed for Zambia’s MTN Super League side, Kansanshi Dynamos, on a free transfer.
In a statement, Dynamos said they brought on board the 25-year-old on a two-year contract to add depth to their squad.
“The versatile forward, capable of playing on both wings and as a supporting striker, last featured for Malawian giants Mighty Wanderers. Madinga is set to add depth and firepower to our 2025/26 MTN Super League campaign,” the statement reads.
Madinga moved to Zambia, the neighbouring country, after parting ways with Wanderers. He declined a contract extension beyond August 6, 2025.
The attacking midfielder rejoined the Malawi Super League team two years ago after a three-year spell with FC Dila Gori in the Georgian League.
He made 60 appearances and scored six goals for Gori in all competitions, according to Transfer Markt.
The player, who represented Malawi at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon, has been in and out of the Flames’ squad. After returning from Europe, Madinga signed for Jwaneng Galaxy FC in Botswana. However, he did not stay long in Botswana as he returned home to rejoin Wanderers.
Madinga will have enough company of compatriots in Zambian, including Chimwemwe Idana, Chawanangwa Kaonga, Robert Saizi (ZANACO FC) and Chifundo Mphasi (Power Dynamos FC).
