Mamelodi Sundowns have signed one of South Africa’s hottest football talents after Saturday's confirmation of the transfer of Jayden Adams from fellow Betway Premiership side Stellenbosch FC.
The Betway Premiership champions have released a statement confirming the capture of the youthful midfielder from Stellenbosch FC.
“Bafana Bafana international Jayden Adams has joined the home of the 14-times Champions on a 3.5-year deal!,” the statement reads.
Adams was among the scorers last weekend when Stellenbosch beat Stade Malien 2-0 to advance to the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals. The 23-year-old has one goal in eight games for the Western Cape based team this season.
A graduate of Stellenbosch's academy, Adams produced 9 goals and 10 assists in 139 appearances for Stellies since debuting during the 2019-20 season. He also has two appearances for the South Africa national team and is the first signing of recently appointed coach Miguel Cardoso.
