Manchester City in Morocco to lay the foundations for transfer of Abdellah Ouazane

Manchester City has been in Morocco since Wednesday, April 9th, for Abdellah Ouazane. The English club's management made the trip to lay the groundwork for a transfer.
Pan-Africa Football has learned from a source close to the situation in Morocco for the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations that the English club's officials are rushing to finalize a deal for Ouazane, a midfielder at Ajax Amsterdam. The source revealed that Manchester City officials are seeking a definitive agreement with representatives of the young player and the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam.
Before their trip to Morocco, the source stated that there had been preliminary discussions between Ouazane and his family. "A Manchester City scout had already contacted Ouazane and informed his family of the English club's interest in signing him during the upcoming summer transfer window."
Ouazane, 16, remains a key player for the Moroccan U-17 national team during the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, currently being played on home soil. He impressed viewers during Morocco's 3-0 victory over Tanzania in the third matchday of the competition's group stage, scoring a stunning goal from a direct free kick.
Aside from Manchester City, Real Madrid are also interested in signing Abdellah Ouazane to continue his development in the Spanish giant's youth teams.
