Al-Nassr ended a two-match losing streak with emphasis on Monday against unfortunate Al Okhdoud, who were on the receiving end of four goals from Senegal national team star Sadio Mané in a 9-0 battering in the Saudi Pro League.
With third place and qualification for next season's AFC Champions League under serious threat, Nassr responded early and often against hapless Okhdoud. Ayman Yahya, Jhon Duran and Marcelo Brozović scored inside the opening half hour before Mané joined the party with a penalty kick at the end of the first half.
Duran added his second goal early in the second half and then it was time for Mané to show no mercy on a demoralized Okhdoud defense. After being set up by Yahya for his second before the hour mark, Mané produced a powerful left footed finish to complete his hat-trick five minutes later.
Mané added one more in the 74th minute (video at the top) and Nassr completed the destruction with Mohammed Marran's penalty kick in stoppage time. Al-Nassr move back into third place, one point ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Al Qadsiah and two points clear of Riyad Mahrez's Al Ahli.
Mané now has nine goals in his last five matches, bringing his total to 13 goals and 10 assists in 29 league matches this season. Nassr next host Al Taawoun on Friday with three matches remaining in their Saudi Pro League campaign.
