With relegation hanging on their shoulders, Eswatini top-league side Manzini Wanderers FC have parted company with veteran coach Zenzele Ace Dlamini, barely three games into his job.

“Manzini Wanderers announces that, by mutual agreement between the club and head coach Zenzele Ace Dlamini, it has been decided to put an end to his time as first-team coach, effective immediately,” reads part of the statement.
“The Board of Directors believes this is the right time for a change in leadership to achieve the club’s long-term objectives of saving the club from relegation.
“Manzini Wanderers expresses its sincere gratitude to Zenzele Dlamini and his coaching staff for their dedication, hard work, and professionalism during their tenure. We recognize his contributions and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”
Zenzele Dlamini ascended to the hot seat on January 24, 2026 to replace Gcina Dlamini. The latter was shown the exit after posting one victory in 15 games, dating back to the 2024-2025 MTN Premier League season.
There was no improvement either under the veteran coach who presided over three games without winning any of them. His sacking is partly linked to the recent remarks which appears to have angered Wanderers supporters.
The Mbabane-based club has since installed Nyanga Hlophe as the new head coach leading a panel comprising Stanford Ncube and Thokozani Mamba.
Wanderers are having a season to forget, languishing second from the basement of the MTN Premier League with five points eight games, at par on points with tail-enders Sisonkhe FC.
Wanderers are among the oldest organized football clubs in Eswatini, but have been struggling due to financial problems.
The club was relegated in the 2024 season and only made their return to the top-flight league this season.
