Marmoush emphasized the importance of the match and spoke about the team’s preparation for it. Manchester City's official website conducted an interview with Marmoush and reported his statements as follows:
"Of course, it is a very important match for us, but we are feeling good, we are focused, and we are training well. We are giving our everything to be very well prepared for this game."
He added: "We prepare for every game the same. Whether it is a cup match or a Premier League game, for us, the preparation is always the same.
We always go onto the pitch with the same mentality of wanting to win and giving 100%.
We are just doing what we always do and preparing well. We’re focusing on the next job."
Manchester City currently sits fourth in the league table with 47 points, just one point behind third-placed Nottingham Forest and one ahead of fifth-placed Chelsea, adding even more significance to the upcoming match.
Marmoush continued: "Of course, it is important, but it is important to win every match. It’s not only this match, but also the upcoming games.
We won’t be looking too far ahead, though—we’ll be taking each game as it comes. Every match for us is important, so hopefully, we can take the three points on Saturday."
The Egyptian striker joined Manchester City in the January transfer window from Eintracht Frankfurt. Since his arrival, he has played eight matches and scored three goals.
Marmoush also acknowledged the qualities of the opposition: "Nottingham Forest is a really good team, and as you can see, they are doing well by looking at the league table.
They have good qualities, but when we show our best quality on the pitch and give 100%, I think it is hard to beat us."
Manchester City will face Nottingham Forest in Matchweek 28 of the Premier League on Saturday, March 8, at 12:30 GMT.
