Egypt national team coach Hossam Hassan has named his 23-man squad for the October international camp, which includes two crucial World Cup qualifying matches against Djibouti and Guinea-Bissau.
The Pharaohs will first face Djibouti on October 8 in Morocco, before returning home to play Guinea-Bissau at Cairo International Stadium on October 12, as part of Matchdays 9 and 10 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers.
Egypt need just two points from these two games to secure their qualification for the World Cup, marking a major milestone under Hossam Hassan’s leadership.
This call-up list includes the returns of Yasser Ibrahim and Mostafa Fathi, while Mohamed Rabia and Omar Marmoush miss out — the latter due to injury. Zamalek midfielder Nabil Emad Dunga, who featured in the September squad, has been left out.
