Ugandan attacker Martin Kizza has sealed a move to South Sudan Premier League outfit El Merriekh SC Bentiu, opening a fresh chapter in his well-travelled career across the region.
The pacey wide man, comfortable on both flanks, arrives in Bentiu on a six-month contract after spending the past season with Ethiopian giants Fassil Kenema FC, where he had signed a two-year deal in 2024.

Kizza brings with him a wealth of experience gathered from different leagues on the continent. Before his Ethiopian stint, he had spells in South Africa with Royal Eagles and Free State Stars, further sharpening his game outside Uganda.
Back home, his résumé reads like a who’s who of Ugandan football. He has previously turned out for SC Villa, KCCA FC, Express and Vipers SC, and has represented the Uganda Cranes on 15 occasions at senior international level.
His switch to El Merriekh Bentiu also strengthens the growing Ugandan presence in South Sudan’s top flight. The club made multiple moves to conclude their transfer business for a major push towards the title.
Kizza now joins compatriots such as Hassan Wasswa Dazo, Ezra Bida, Richard Anyama, Rashid Anyama and Jude Ssemugabi, as the South Sudan Premier League continues to attract Ugandan talent.
