South Africa’s elite league team Marumo Gallants FC have signed what they call two ‘quality and experienced’ players from West Africa.
In a statement, the Bloemfontein-based club confirms the arrival of Ivorian youthful defender Agnikoi Eroine and midfielder Ibrahim Bance from Burkina Faso.
“We’re proud to officially welcome Agnikoi Eroine (Centre Back) and Ibrahim Bance (Midfielder) to Marumo Gallants FC,” the club’s statement reads. “These two powerhouses bring quality, experience, strength to our squad, ready to make their mark in Bloemfontein.”
Reports show that Eroine is one of the promising Ivorian defenders aged 19. He is expected to strengthen Gallants’ defence that has presided over three defeats in nine league games, including two wins and four draws.
Gallants coach Alexandre Lafitte must be familiar with the new players having last coached Ivorian team Ligue 1 with Stade d’Abidjan before joining the Betway Premiership side in July 2025
The Bloemfontein-based team has timed the acquisition of the players taking advantage of the FIFA international break thereby giving them time to adapt to the Betway Premiership environment.
