Kitara FC are bracing for a potential mass exodus, with more than half of their squad and the entire technical staff currently out of contract following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League season.

Reliable sources in Hoima indicate that head coach Wasswa Bbosa, along with his backroom staff, are no longer under contract. Bbosa took over from Brian Ssenyondo and guided the Hoima-based side to a Uganda Cup semi-final and a respectable seventh-place finish in the league.

A long list of key players is also facing uncertain futures at the club. These include Ronald Otti, Titus Ssematimba, Marvin Nyanzi, Benjamin Nyakoojo, Patrick Henry Kaddu, George Ssenkaaba, Chrispus Kusiima, Kabon Living, Arthur Kiggundu, Moses Sseruyidde, Lazaro Bwambale, and Farouk Yawe — all of whom are out of contract with the 2024 Uganda Cup champions.

One confirmed exit is striker Jude Ssemugabi, who has reportedly completed a move to double champions Vipers SC as they gear up for the 2025/26 campaign.

Despite the looming overhaul, there is a glimmer of stability, with club chairman Deo Kasozi expected to renew his tenure for another season.
