Mato, Kasule, Omedi on target as Ugandan players shine across the globe

Ugandan footballers abroad continued to leave their mark over the weekend with several impressive performances. From North America to Europe, Africa to Asia, goals, assists, and notable displays highlighted the growing influence of Ugandan talent worldwide.
Rogers Mato, Ibrahim Kasule, Denis Omedi found the back of the net for their clubs, capping off a successful weekend for Ugandan exports. North Macedonia: Rogers Mato continued his fine form, coming off the bench in the 56th minute and scoring in the 71st as FC Vardar defeated Besa 1976 by 3-1.
Rwanda: Denis Omedi scored a goal as APR FC thrashed Rutsiro 5-0, with Hakim Kiwanuka also featuring. Emma Okwi was involved as AS Kigali drew 1-1 with Mukura Victory Sports, for whom Nicholas Sebwato started on the bench. Shafik Bakaki featured for Musanze in their 1-0 win over Muhazi United, while Kagaba Nicholas and Kyeyune Muhammad started on the bench for Muhazi United. Robert Mukonghotya scored for Etincelles despite their 2-1 loss to Rayon Sports. Asharaf Mandela started while Eric Ssenjobe came off the bench as Police FC drew 0-0 with Gorilla FC.
England: In League One, Toby Sibbick came off the bench in the 77th minute as Wigan Athletic drew 1-1 with Blackpool, while Nathan Asiimwe played the full 90 minutes as his Walsall side suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Accrington Stanley. Giouse Bellagambi was an unused substitute as Barnet thrashed Aldershot Town 4-0.
Scotland: Jordan Obita completed 90 minutes for Hibernian in their 1-0 loss to Aberdeen. Denmark: Robert Kakeeto featured for 90 minutes, helping Middelfart secure a 1-0 victory over AB Copenhagen. In women's football, Phionah Nabbumba scored and played 77 minutes as Midtjylland Women defeated B93 Women 4-1. Moses Opondo also impressed, featuring for 88 minutes as Fredericia drew 1-1 with Esbjerg.
United States: Allan Oyirworth played the entire match and netted a goal as New England Revolution II edged New York City II 2-1. Ibrahim Kasule was on fire, scoring a goal and assisting another in New York Red Bulls II's 4-2 win over Orlando City B, where Steven Sserwadda also featured before being subbed off in 83rd minute.
Bobosi Byaruhanga played the full game and contributed an assist, although Oakland Roots fell 2-1 to Spokane Velocity. Jayden Onen provided an assist for FC Naples in their narrow 1-0 victory over Charleston.
Meanwhile, Shadia Nankya was an unused substitute as Dallas Trinity Women defeated Lexington. Finland: Viola Nambi starred for Aland United Women, scoring a goal in their thrilling 3-2 win over HPS Women.
Kenya: Tusker FC trio Kaddu George, Denis Iguma, and Deogratious Ojok all featured as they fell 2-1 to Mathare United, with Ojok scoring their lone goal. Meanwhile, Pius Wangi and Farouk Musisi featured for Kakamega Homeboyz in their goalless draw with Sofapaka. James Ssetuba was on the bench as AFC Leopards overcame Bidco United 3-1.
Turkey: Joan Nabirye made headlines after scoring for Trabzonspor Women in their emphatic 17-0 demolition of Cekmekoy. Italy: Elio Capradossi played 76 minutes as Cittadella were beaten 2-1 by Reggiana on the road.
South Africa: Goalkeeper Isima Watenga was on the bench as Golden Arrows lost 1-0 to Amazulu.
Sweden: Dembe John Paul was introduced in the 64th minute as Hacken drew 1-1 with Hammarby. Calvin Kabuye entered in the 63rd minute and helped Mjallby to a convincing 4-1 win over Degerfors.
CAF Competitions: In the CAF Champions League, veteran goalkeeper Denis Onyango was an unused substitute as Mamelodi Sundowns edged out Al Ahly to book a spot in the final. In the CAF Confederation Cup, Steven Mukwala featured for 53 minutes as Simba SC qualified for the finals with a 1-0 aggregate win over Stellenbosch.
Israel: Timothy Awany played the entire match for Ashdod as they were held to a goalless draw by Sakhnin. Greece: Nakayenze Yudaya was named among the substitutes as REA Women drew 1-1 with Trikala.
Malawi: Venecious Nsumba featured for Chitipa United as they lost 2-1 to Dedza Dynamos.
