Ibrahim Maza stated that he felt good after bagging a brace in Bayer Leverkusen’s big win over Heidenheim in week 10 of the Bundesliga. The Werkself beat Heidenheim 6–0, with Maza winning the Man of the Match award.

Maza spoke about his brace, among other things, and said he felt good about the way the match unfolded. “It feels very nice, especially when you can help the team. We played seriously until the end. It is important to go into the international break with a good feeling,” said Maza.

The 19-year-old prodigy signed for Leverkusen from the capital club Hertha Berlin during the summer transfer window. He scored his first Bundesliga goal for Leverkusen over the weekend, ending a nine-game drought. The German-born Algerian international is seen by many as a direct replacement for Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz.

Leverkusen are now fourth with 20 points after a difficult start to the new campaign. Under coach Kasper Hjulmand, Maza is expected to flourish even more in his debut Bundesliga season.
