Bryan Mbeumo continued his remarkable form for Manchester United as he scored a brace in a 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in week nine of the Premier League. The Cameroon forward has now scored in back-to-back league matches for the Red Devils.
Mbeumo extended United’s lead in the second half with a cool finish from the edge of the box. He completed his brace deep into injury time with a powerful strike from close range after Brighton had pulled two goals back to put pressure on the home side.
Mbeumo, 26, is currently Manchester United’s top scorer in the Premier League with four goals. He was also on target when his side beat bitter rivals Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield. His superb form in August earned him the Fans’ Player of the Month award. Cameroon coach Marc Brys will be pleased that Mbeumo continues to perform well at club level ahead of the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifier playoff game against DR Congo on November 13.
