Meziane leaves Algeria CHAN squad for Gambia clash, Benayada called in

Abderrahmane Meziane has left the Algeria local national team camp due to family reasons and will miss the upcoming second qualifying stage first leg clash against Gambia for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Gambia will host Algeria on Saturday, May 3 at 15:00 GMT in the first leg of the second round of the CHAN 2024 second qualifying stage.
The CR Belouizdad forward is expected to rejoin the squad after the team's return from Gambia, where they are set to play the first leg of the qualifier.
Meanwhile, USM Alger defender Imadeddine Azzi has been ruled out of the squad due to injury. In his place, coach Madjid Bougherra has called up Houcine Benayada, also from CR Belouizdad.
