Michael Olunga strikes in another Al Arabi win

Michael Olunga scored in his second consecutive match on Friday for Qatari club Al Arabi, with the Kenyan finishing off a 2-0 Qatar Stars League victory over Al Shahaniya.

After a difficult start to the 2025-26 campaign, the Qatari top flight side are finding their form with a late surge leading them to back-to-back league victories.

Jordan national team star Yazan Al Naimat produced a brilliant strike in the 84th minute to break the resistance of visitors Shahaniya. Only a couple of minutes later, Olunga piled on the misery when Al Naimat completed a Man of the Match performance off the bench with a lofted ball over the top of the defense to the Kenyan who did the rest with a classy finish.

Since arriving at his latest club as a free agent signing from fellow QSL side Al Duhail, the prolific forward got off to a great start before experiencing two months without a goal for the Doha-based side. He now has four goals in six QSL matches so far this season for Al Arabi, who have now won their last five matches between league and QSL Cup action.
