The 26-year-old joins with an opportunity to receive more playing time after his role steadily decreased with Red Star. Al Jazira are currently 5th place in the Emirati top flight, eight points out of the top-3 positions.
Milson joined Red Star ahead of last season after a strong 2023-24 campaign with Israeli Premier League giants Maccabi Tel Aviv. He made 41 appearances in all competitions, producing 7 goals and 11 assists while winning an Israeli top flight title.
He continued to be productive during his first season with Red Star but over time, became a more peripheral part of the squad with the acquisitions of players such as Marko Arnautovic and Ghanaian phenom Douglas Owusu. The continued development of 17-year-old youth product Vasilije Kostov also played a role in the decline of Milson’s minutes.
The Luanda native previously began his professional career in Portugal with Marítimo before spending time in Russia with Pari Nizhny Novgorod. His breakthrough came when he spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan with Turkish Süper Lig club MKE Ankaragücü, where he scored 5 goals in 10 Süper Lig matches to draw the attention of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Milson is a regular member of the Angola national team, with 4 goals and 2 assists in 27 appearances. He represented the Palancas Negras at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, making two substitute appearances as Angola exited at the group stage.
