Reduced activity in Major League Soccer during the international window saw only two games take place on Saturday but Jonathan Bamba and Osman Bukari were among the players who made goal contributions in victories for Chicago Fire and Austin FC.

A stunned Audi Field had already fallen deep into silence after Chicago opened the scoring against hosts DC United inside ten minutes. But Ivorian winger Bamba increased the anxiety for the home support when he got behind the defense to fire in Chicago's second goal in the 24th minute during a humiliating 7-1 victory for the visitors.

Bamba was also involved in Tom Barlow's second goal while Malian midfielder Rominigue Kouamé provided an assist on the opening goal shortly before being forced off due to injury. Bamba continues to be an influential player with three goals and seven assists in sixteen league matches for the ninth place team in the Eastern Conference.

In the later match on Saturday, Austin FC completed a winning evening for the visiting teams with Bukari providing an assist as Los Verdes defeated Colorado Rapids 2-0 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The Ghanaian winger got behind the Rapids defense on the right wing before providing the cross that led to Mikkel Desler's opening goal in the 6th minute.

Austin ends a six-match winless streak with the victory. Bukari has three assists in his last five matches, bringing his totals to one goal and three assists in eighteen MLS games this season.

League action for the weekend concludes on Sunday with three games including Denis Bouanga and Los Angeles FC hosting Sporting Kansas City.
