The Nigerian helped the Claret and Cobalt to a dream start on the final matchday of the regular season, known as “Decision Day”. There was plenty of drama with the Western Conference club amongst the teams whose seasons could have ended if results did not go their way.
Despite a late equalizer from hosts St. Louis, RSL qualified to the Wildcard round of the playoffs with the result. Olatunji got in behind the defense to put the visitors ahead in the 17th minute before scoring a similar goal soon after the half hour mark.

Now RSL will prepare for the Wildcard match on Wednesday against Portland Timbers, a single elimination match that will see the winner advance to face the first place team in the Western Conference, San Diego FC.
Olatunji has given RSL hope of surprising in the playoffs. Since joining from Sparta Prague in August, the 26-year-old striker has four goals and an assist in eight matches. Lacking a strong option at the striker position all season, the club based in Utah spent over $2 million to bring Olatunji in.
