Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohamed Camara has been left distraught following their goalless draw against Vision FC in week 24 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Guinean import has become the shield between defeats and the Porcupine Warriors in the domestic competitions, marshaling the post with great finesse.

The strapping shot stopper pulled off incredible saves, ensuring Kotoko’s stalemate against a ten-man Vision FC at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The 25-year-old shared his thoughts after the draw: “I am a bit disappointed because we were supposed to win this game, ten against eleven is not good to draw or lose, we were supposed to win,” Mohamed Camara said.
Camara, who has kept in 18 games with 11 clean sheets and 13 goals conceded, has set sight on giving his all in the remaining games of the campaign.
“But it’s not over, we will try and win the next game and continue small small [and] my performance was good and I expect to do more of those in the subsequent games.
On the chances of winning the Ghana Premier League, Mohamed Camara believes Kotoko must take “each game as they come.”
Asante Kotoko recently parted ways with head coach Karim Zito who guided them to last season’s MTN FA Cup, a competition that qualified them for the CAF Confederation Cup where they exited at the second preliminary stage.
Asante Kotoko’s title chase now looks bleak as they sit in 4th on the league table trailing leaders Medeama by seven points with reigning champions GoldStars and Hearts of Oak occupying second and third respectively with 42 and 40 points from 24 matches.
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohamed Camara has expressed his disappointment following the team’s goalless draw against Vision FC in Week 24 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors were expected to claim all three points, especially after Vision FC were reduced to ten men during the match at the Baba Yara Stadium. However, despite their numerical advantage and several attacking opportunities, Kotoko failed to break the deadlock, leaving players and supporters frustrated.
Camara, who has been one of Kotoko’s most reliable performers this season, admitted after the match that the result felt like a missed opportunity for the club as they continue their pursuit of the league title.
The Guinean goalkeeper once again proved his value to the team with an impressive display between the posts. Throughout the match, Camara produced several crucial saves to prevent Vision FC from finding the back of the net.
His commanding presence and quick reflexes ensured that Kotoko maintained a clean sheet, even during moments when the opposition threatened to break through.
Over the course of the season, Camara has developed a reputation as one of the most dependable goalkeepers in the Ghana Premier League. The 25-year-old has played 18 matches, recording 11 clean sheets while conceding just 13 goals.
His performances have often acted as a defensive shield for Kotoko, keeping the team competitive even when the attacking unit struggles to convert chances.
Speaking after the game, Camara admitted that the team should have secured victory given the circumstances of the match.
“I am a bit disappointed because we were supposed to win this game,” Camara said.
“Ten against eleven is not good to draw or lose, we were supposed to win.”
Despite the disappointment, the goalkeeper remains optimistic about Kotoko’s chances in the remaining fixtures of the season.
Camara emphasized the importance of staying focused and taking each match step by step as the campaign progresses.
“But it’s not over. We will try and win the next game and continue small small. My performance was good and I expect to do more of those in the subsequent games,” he added.
