Mohamed Salah underlined Liverpool’s resilience after his late penalty sealed a narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Egyptian forward converted from the spot in the 95th minute after Tunisian midfielder Hannibal Mejbri was penalized for handball, giving Salah his second league goal of the campaign following his opener against Bournemouth on the first day of the season.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Salah admitted that Burnley pushed Liverpool to the limit:
“Burnley were a tough opponent today. We tried our best to keep possession, it was difficult, but I’m happy we managed to win.”
He also highlighted the importance of integrating the club’s new signings:
“We have a few new players in the starting lineup and it takes some time to adapt. We’re doing our best to make them confident in our system.”
Salah finished on a defiant note, reflecting the mentality within the squad:
“We never give up. We always try to push ourselves to the maximum, and as a team we did that today.”
The victory keeps Liverpool’s perfect start intact with four wins from four, leaving ِArne Slot’s men top of the table on 12 points.
