Rumours linking Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana with a potential move to Kaizer Chiefs have been dismissed by his representatives, Cream Sports Management.
This comes despite reports from Tunisia suggesting renewed interest from Amakhosi and a fresh offer being tabled for the Esperance de Tunis player.
According to Tunisian reports, Chiefs have reiterated their long-standing interest in the 25-year-old, with foreign news outlets indicating that a new bid had been submitted for the talented attacker.
Mokwana was previously on the verge of joining the Naturena-based giants ahead of the 2024/25 season, but the deal fell through, leading to his move to Esperance from Sekhukhune United.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Mokwana has openly expressed his admiration for the Soweto giants in the past, stating publicly that it remains a personal dream to wear the iconic gold and black jersey if the opportunity were to arise.
However, Cream Sports Management, the agency representing Mokwana, has categorically denied receiving any official offer from Kaizer Chiefs. The agency labelled the circulating reports as "disturbing stories," emphasising that Mokwana is content at Esperance and entirely focused on the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America.
"There is no truth in those reports about Mokwana joining Kaizer Chiefs, there's nothing, nothing like that," said a representative from Cream Sports as quoted by KickOff.com.
"It's just people having wishes, and it's one of those disturbing stories. His camp has not received nor heard any word from Chiefs, and I can tell you, Mokwana is still happy at Esperance."
Mokwana and Esperance de Tunis are set to travel to the USA for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. They have been drawn into a challenging Group D, where they will face off against Chelsea, Flamengo, and Los Angeles FC.
