Al Hilal SC’s Moroccan international Yassine Bono has won the Goalkeeper of the month October award in the Roshn Saudi Pro League (RSL).
Bono has received the accolade after keeping clean sheets for Al Hilal in three league matches during the month in question. They thrashed Al Ettifaq 5-0, beat Al Ittihad 2-0 and last Friday’s 1-0 success over Al Shabab.

The top keeper was, therefore, recognized for the role he played in ensuring Al Hilal collected nine points from the three games in match weeks five to seven. Apart from Bono, SPL is also home to Senegalese keeper Edouard Mendy who is on the books of Al-Ahli.
Little wonder, Al Hilal’s Italian coach Simone Inzaghi also picked up the Manager of the Month accolade for guiding the giants to the three straight wins with no goals conceded.
Al Hilal, whose squad comprises Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly, moved to second place on the RSL log table after their run of good form, trailing Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane-led Al Nassr by four points.
Meanwhile, Konstantinos Fortounis bagged the Player of the Month award following his inspiring form for Al Khaleej.
SRL is home to many African players, including Algerian Riyad Mahrez, Nigerian William Troost-Ekong, Ivorian Franck Kessie and Zambian Fashion Sakala.
