Morocco sealed a narrow but valuable victory over Saudi Arabia, winning 1–0 in their Group B clash at Lusail Stadium to secure top spot and progress to the quarterfinals in the Arab Cup.

The Atlas Lions made a bright start and took the lead early in the game. Karim El Berkaoui struck in the 11th minute after pressing the Saudi defence, winning the ball before combining with Tarik Tissoudali, who returned the pass for El Berkaoui to finish past goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi.

Saudi Arabia were handed a golden opportunity to draw level when the referee awarded a penalty following a foul by Morocco’s Amine Zahzouh. Abdullah Al-Hamdan stepped up to take it but squandered the chance, sending his effort off target.

Morocco maintained their advantage until the final whistle. The win lifted them to seven points, placing them at the top of Group B, while Saudi Arabia stayed on six points, enough to secure second place and qualification to the knockout stage.

In the other match in the group, Oman defeated Comoros 2–1, eliminating the island nation from the tournament. Oman finished with four points, while Comoros ended without a point.
