Head coach of Nigeria‘s under 20 women’s team, Moses Aduku has affirmed that the Falconets are on a mission to qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The Falconets advanced to the third round of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers after handling Rwanda a 4-0 defeat in their second round, second leg clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan on Saturday, which lead to a 5-0 victory on aggregate.
Speaking after the match Aduku said his team made sure to work on their lapses in other to get maximum points at home and qualify for the next round.
“Immediately, we came back from Kigali. One of the things we did was to re-watch the game. We brought in the players also. We watched, and we went into the field, and we started working on our lapses, and that is what paid off today.
We worked on our scoring ability, and it pays off.”
Also when reacting to his third round opponent of Sengal, the Falconets gaffer was breaming with confidence as he believes that his side is equal to the task.
“I think we can play in the team. The important thing is for us to see the team and strategize on how to go about playing there.
We are on a mission, and our mission has just started. So, whoever we meet, we go out to see how we can get results.”
Goals from Precious Chiemerie, Tumininu Fatimah, Janet Akekoromowei, and Taiwo Afolab was all Nigeria needed to exact their dominance on Rwanda.
