Nigeria national team winger Moses Simon has penned a farewell message to French Ligue 1 club Nantes after Paris FC officially announced his arrival on Wednesday.
Simon who completed his medical at Paris FC on Tuesday, is leaving the Canaries after six years at the club. The 29-year-old took to the social media to bid farewell to Antoine Kamboure’s side, where he appreciated the club and said he leaves with pride.
“Six seasons of giving it your all with your heart. Sprints, crosses, thrill and etched memories. Thank you FC Nantes, thank you Beaujoire. I leave with pride and a piece of this club in my heart.”
Simon enjoyed his most successful spell at Nantes last season, netting 8 times and providing 10 assists in 32 league appearances.
The Nigerian winger initially joined FC Nantes on loan from Spanish club Levante in August 2019, making the move permanent in June 2020. He made 201 appearances for Nantes, contributing significantly with 37 goals and 42 assists across all competitions, solidifying his place as a key player and even becoming the club’s all-time assist leader.
Simon’s contract with Paris FC is a three year contract which runs till 2028.
