Nigeria international, Moses Simon has stated that, he is focused on helping French club side, FC Nantes fight for survival as the transfer speculation linking him away from the Ligue 1 outfit intensifies.
With four matches left in the campaign and FC Nantes facing the threat of relegation, Simon’s loyalty is evident.
Simon, who has been a key player for the club since 2019, expressed his dedication to the team ahead of their crucial upcoming matches, signalling his intent to stay with the Canaries beyond the current season.
During a press conference ahead of the visit of Toulouse FC, the 29-year-old addressed the growing rumours surrounding his future, stating that he is fully committed to the club.
“Nantes is a great club. I’m very happy here, I love everyone, the supporters, the city. For me, it’s going well,” Simon said.
“We took two points against them this season. Now the important thing is to stay up. It’s true that we don’t often have the ball, but there’s no choice. We know how to play like that, and we have players up front, with Matthis (Abline) too,” Simon explained.
Moses Simon is under contract until 2026 and is not contemplating a departure in the near future.
He has played 29 league games this season, scoring seven goals and adding nine assists to his credit.
