Nigerian winger Moses Simon has suffered an injury in Paris FC final pre-season match as he outscored his former club FC Nantes 3-2.
Simon, who joined Paris FC this summer on a three-year deal worth a reported €7 million after a five-year spell with Nantes, was the central figure of the evening.
The 29-year-old was honoured inside a 10,000-strongstadium as promoted Paris posted a heart-warming win going into the new Ligue 1 season.
The game, which saw Paris FC come back from a 2-1deficit at halftime, was a perfect morale-booster for the newly-promoted side ahead of their return to Ligue 1after a 46-year absence.
However, the victory was clouded by Simon’s injury, which occurred during the match. He was replaced at halftime by Alimami Gory, who went on to score the equalising goal for Paris FC in the second half.
Paris FC will open their campaign in the French topflight Sunday, August 17 at Angers.
