Nigeria international winger Moses Simon has sealed a permanent transfer to Paris FC, after penning a contract that will keep him at the newly promoted French Ligue 1 club until June 2028.

Simon, widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most consistent performers in Europe, leaves Nantes after six seasons, where he made nearly 180 Ligue 1 appearances, helping the club win the Coupe de France in 2022.

Paris FC Sporting Director François Ferracci said on the arrival of the Super Eagle: “We are delighted to welcome Moses. He was a priority recruit for us, and he showed genuine interest in our project despite numerous offers. He will make us more efficient in many areas.”

Simon is the first major signing for the newly promoted side, who share close proximity with the French Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint-Germain.

Simon is a product of the famed GBS Academy, the same football academy in Nigeria that produced the likes of Ahmed Musa. In 2019, he was loaned out Nantes, and at the end of the season, Nantes triggered the option to buy in Simon’s loan.

He signed a four-year contract with the club.

In 2023, Simon extended his contract with Nantes until 2026 and in May, 2025, he marked his 200th appearance for the club by scoring a goal in a 3-0 win against Montpellier.

Last season, he made 32 Ligue 1 appearances for Nantes, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists.
