These days the Russian Premier League is an isolated competition in the world of football due to the lack of availability of continental competition due to the ongoing situation with the War in Ukraine. However, it remains a lucrative league with no shortage of African players and Cameroon international Moumi Ngamaleu is among the African internationals thriving in the league at Dynamo Moscow.
Ngamaleu helped 5th place Dynamo to a 3-1 victory on Monday (first goal in video below) at Krylya Sovetov. The former BSC Young Boys star snuck in to finish a cross from Yaroslav Gladyshev in the 2nd minute for a dream start away from home.
With three matches remaining, Dynamo are only two points behind Moscow rivals CSKA and a top-3 position following Monday's victory.
Ngamaleu, who continues to have an active role with the Cameroon national team with appearances in both of the Indomitable Lions' FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in March (one start, one appearance as a substitute), is now in his third season with Dynamo. The 30-year-old attacking midfielder and winger now has 6 goals and 5 assists in 27 appearances between league and cup matches.
