Orlando Pirates have been boosted by the return from injury of key players.
The trio is available, just in time for the Buccaneers’ MTN8 cup final against fellow South African opponents Stellenbosch FC today, Saturday.
During the week, the Buccaneers announced that captain Nkosinathi Sibisi was now available after having been sidelined by an injury.
Now, Pirates have further reported that midfielders Makhehleni Makhaula and Patrick Maswanganyi are also in contention for selection into the matchday squad at Mbombela Stadium.
The three senior players provide coach Abdeslam Ouaddou a good head selection headache going into the final.
The Soweto giants held their own to see off fancied Mamelodi Sundowns in the two-legged semifinal and book a final spot. The Soweto heavyweights are gunning for a record-extending fourth consecutive MTN8 cup.
In the other camp, Stellenbosch needed to overcome the resistance of AmaZulu FC then Sekhukhune United to sail through to the final.
Steve Barker’s side wants to go one step better to win the MTN8 trophy which they surrendered to Pirates last season after losing in the final.
The match will be broadcast on SuperSport Television and SABC 1 from 6pm CAT.
