Uganda Cranes forward Muhammad Shaban has sealed a move to Libyan Premier League side Al-Anwar Al-Abyar Sports Club from Al Hilal SC (Benghazi).
The former Vipers SC, KCCA FC, and Onduparaka FC striker was officially unveiled by his new club, which expressed excitement about his arrival.
"Let’s welcome together the Ugandan international striker Muhammad Shaban, who is coming from Al Hilal Club. Welcome to the city of dignity, we look forward to achieving victories together," the club announced.
Shaban joins a list of new signings at Al-Anwar Al-Abyar, including Mustafa Jibreen and Afif Al-Jabali, as the club strengthens its squad for the season. Anwar are currently in 5th position in Group 1 in the Libyan Premier League and have won their last two matches as they make a push for qualification to the championship stage.
The Ugandan forward is expected to make his debut when Al-Anwar Al-Abyar takes on Al-Wefaq at the Benina Martyrs Stadium on Monday.
